ATI's Faculty Enhancement Program is designed to help nursing faculty develop items necessary for individual and programmatic test construction. The goal is to provide strategies for nursing faculty to enhance their item-writing skills. Topics presented in this inservice include:

• Test selection
  
• How students learn
  
• Diagnostics — including reliability and validity
  
• Components of test items
  
• Item creation— including critical thinking and nursing process items
  
• Item analysis

This program is offered for half-day and whole-day sessions at your institution, with faculty participation and small group work included. The workshop may be modified to fit faculty needs and time constraints.
